Blake Lively has reportedly secured an invite to Taylor Swift's wedding.

While the Gossip Girl actress' friendship with the Opalite singer came under strain during Lively's legal battle with her This Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni, she and Swift are said to have moved on and Blake is expected to attend Taylor's upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.

A source told DailyMail.com: "Taylor was not happy about being dragged into the lawsuit but was more receptive to speaking to Blake as the suit came to a close,. Blake was ready to resume their friendship because it really was what caused its demise.

"Everyone around Taylor is aware that Blake could attend. She may not, but that won't be because she isn't welcome."

Another source added: "Blake is on the cusp of getting a second chance, and they have had some loose conversations to test the waters to get the trust back. Blake is slowly getting back into the fold now that Taylor is having a change of heart."

And a third source alleged Lively does not "want to be seen as not going to the wedding because her image is very important to her".

The insider added: "[They] never fully stopped being friends."

Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that both Taylor Swift and Blake Lively acknowledged a "shift" in their relationship amid the actress' problems with Justin Baldoni.

The pair's text message exchange was laid bare after legal documents were unsealed ahead of a summary judgement hearing in the Gossip Girl star's sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, and showed Blake reaching out to the Fate of Ophelia hitmaker to express her worry she had been a "bad friend".

According to PEOPLE magazine, the documents described the exchange as a conversation between the two stars and it began with Blake writing: "I have no reason to ask, but I donno, I've been feeling like I should... is everything ok? I felt like a bad friend lately because I was such a sad sack who only talked about my own s*** for months. You were generous to not only be the key person there for me during all of it, but also to let me off the hook for being so in it.

"I always want the opportunity to be a better friend if there's something I unintentionally did. I know how busy and taxed you are - physically, emotionally, practically, so I don't expect any more from you ever. Just want to make sure all is good.(sic)"

Taylor replied over an hour later to tell her pal - who admitted husband Ryan Reynolds had encouraged her to raise the issue - that she was "not wrong, but it's also not a big deal".

She continued: "I think I'm just exhausted in every avenue of my life and in recent months had been feeling a little bit of a shift in the way you talk to me.

"Yes there has been a lot of Justin stuff but I've been through things like this before and I know how all consuming it is.

"It's more like... and I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts have been so nice in their intent but your last few... it's felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees.

"And it feels awful to be in any way critical of any way you process what you've been going through but I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself... And I know you feel attacked from all sides for ridiculous reasons so you're feeling like you have to overly explain things... but. It's me! That's just caused a little distance. And you don't need to apologize. Just come back please.(sic)"
